EVENTS IN RESTON, HERNDON, AND BEYOND
Reston and Herndon have a full slate of community fun this week, with a nice mix of hands-on learning, outdoor traditions, and low-key social events. Families can kick things off Friday morning at Walker Nature Center with the STEAM Workshop: Fantastic Flight, where kids will explore the science behind birds and other flying creatures, then come back that evening for the Campfire Weenie Roast, an easygoing early-spring gathering around the fire. On Saturday, Herndon’s Kids Trout Fishing Derby brings one of the area’s favorite family traditions back to Sugarland Run, while Reston Plays Games at RCC offers a relaxed afternoon of tabletop fun for all ages. Sunday keeps the community vibe going with Puzzle Palooza at the Herndon Community Center, a friendly and slightly competitive jigsaw challenge, and the week wraps up Wednesday with Senior Movie Day at LOOK Cinemas, a beloved Reston Town Center outing that gives local seniors a chance to catch a movie together.
