Sticker shock!

Have you seen the prices of bicycles these days?

We’re not talking about your Walmart specials here. We’re talking bike shop bikes. A bike you might buy if you think you’re really going to get into the sport.

Graham is getting back into riding after a 12-year hiatus, and if you think the price of houses has appreciated in that time, get a load of these price tags.

Mid-level road bikes start at about $4000, and the high-end ones go up to about $13,000. Gulp!

We asked the bike shop owner if we could finance it with a 30-year mortgage. 😂

Speaking of mortgages, rates are down from their highs. While we’re in the summer market, it may be a good time to find a home before the fall market picks back up. If rates are still looking good in September, you can expect the increased demand from lower rates to continue to drive prices up.

Most Listing Videos are Boring

But not this one. When we started in real estate, we wanted to ensure we marketed homes differently. The idea is to showcase what it is like to live in the home and community. Reston Cardboard Boat Regatta Time

You should check out the Reston Cardboard Boat Regatta if you want something different and super fun to do with the family. This is us last year in our boat, and believe it or not, we didn’t sink! We’re currently building our boat for this year and are open to your ideas for how to decorate it. We’ll also be hosting a vendor tent and invite you to stop on by for a chance to win some cool prizes. The event is August 10 from Noon to 6pm at Lake Anne Plaza in Reston. Come check it out!
