NEW HEALTHY CAFE IN RESTON
Toastique has officially opened at RTC Next, bringing a bright, fresh fast casual option to Reston with gourmet toast, smoothie bowls, juices, coffee, and other clean-eating favorites. The locally owned cafe feels like a great fit for the area, especially for anyone who wants something wholesome, colorful, and actually satisfying in the middle of the Town Center rush. CVS is closing its Reston Station pharmacy, which is a bummer for anyone who liked grabbing prescriptions a few steps from Metro.
A new Worldgate Drive redevelopment in Herndon is back before the Architectural Review Board, with updated plans for apartments, stacked condos, and townhouses replacing long-empty office buildings.
Fairfax County’s proposed FY2027 bond plan would push back upgrades at Herndon Fortnightly Library, so that long-awaited refresh is looking a little less immediate.
Fairfax County’s Stuff the Bus food drive returns Saturday, March 14, with buses and fire trucks collecting nonperishables and gift cards for local food pantries.
The county is also highlighting an open hire event in Reston on March 11, aimed at filling Neighborhood and Community Services jobs before spring ramps up.
