We hate it when people are pushy, and we’re certain you do, too. No one likes to be “pushed” into anything, let alone when making one of your life's largest purchases.

That’s why we believe we are in the business of living. Because it’s not about the house, it’s about living.

So, we wanted a space to give you a glimpse into how we live and how we help people make big moves in their lives.

Don’t worry—for those who love our Friday newsletter, which is chock full of pithy commentary about the housing market, local stories and insights, and mortgage rate information, it’s not going anywhere (besides Graham loves to nerd out over the data and find clever ways to convey it to everyone 🤪).

Here, you’ll find the less formal side of our lives helping people with real estate. Everything from Kathy’s purple potatoes to helping our adult children’s friends find their place in the world. We’ll showcase where we’re hiking, trivia nights at the brew house, cool places to see in our area, and some behind-the-scenes moments in real estate.

Finding Home for a New Grad with a New Job

We’re so excited for Skyler, who just graduated with a Master's in Education from UVA and landed a job as a guidance counselor at Springfield High School. She has also been one of our daughter’s very good friends since they met in elementary school. It’s the most gratifying thing when you get to help people find their way to a new home. Doesn’t Skyler look ecstatic?

These are the Winners of our Reston Pride Give-a-way

Whether you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community or not, the Reston Pride Festival is such a great event. The energy is so positive, and we really enjoyed hosting a booth/tent where we could speak to people about how we can help them make their next move in Northern Virginia. Our partners, KVS Title, helped us sponsor a prize giveaway where three lucky winners won a $50 gift card. We hate it when vendors rig those giveaways, so in the interest of transparency, we used a random wheel program to pick the names out of the proverbial hat. The winners are Christine R., Jessika Q., and Dave H.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

The Outlaws on Amazon Prime

Season 2 recently dropped, and it’s absolutely hilarious. It’s set in Bristol, England, where a rag-tag group of petty criminals do community service together. Of course, all kinds of shenanigans ensue. It’s a bit over the top, but every character is strong, especially the lovable supervisor, who steals the show with some of the funniest moments on TV today.
