Are you chilling this Summer or busier than ever?
Why does it always seem like things get busier in the Summertime?
Hi friend,
Are your Summers relaxing, or do you get busier?
For us, we seem to get busier. Mainly because we’re balancing our real estate life with our real life. Let’s face it: it all starts to blend together. Which is good because we love both 😎.
This Summer, our 23-year-old daughter, Claire, is home from Phoenix for six weeks after her first year at medical school. Naturally, we’re going to take advantage of every minute of her being here (at least while she’s not sleeping 🤣).

So, we’re taking advantage of what Summer offers. Sometimes, it’s the simple things. Like the other day, when Kathy came home from a recent closing to make a healthy lunch for her and Claire to enjoy on a picnic blanket in the backyard.

Graham and Claire have taken advantage of the slightly cooler evening hours to play pickleball and go mountain biking at Lake Fairfax. Claire hopes to learn to mountain bike well enough to join her friends back at school who ride in the Arizona desert (we have some work to do…lol).
Meanwhile, have you settled into your Summertime routine yet? What’s on the docket for you and your family this Summer? Are you chilling or busier than ever? Reply and let us know. We love hearing from you!
Your friends,

We Visited an “Urban Farm” in Reston
We found this pretty cool “urban farm” at the new development Halley Rise in Reston. If you’re unfamiliar with this development, it is just south of the Toll Road near the Reston Town Center Metro. Multiple apartment buildings are under development, and more mixed-use development is on the way. This garden/farm is available for anyone in the community to enjoy, and excess food is donated to feed the homeless.
They Brought Her Chocolate
Kathy has been working with these clients for almost five years and has never met his wife. Check out what happened when they finally met at the closing table (hint: it involves chocolate). I think Kathy choked up a bit!
